So this guy in Britain had an incurable lung disease that made it difficult for him to breathe. So he had a medically necessary lung transplant. Except they gave him a SMOKER'S LUNGS! And he died of lung cancer. That really happened!

The hospital said that they didn't really have a lot of lungs to choose from, so they take what they can get. I'm no doctor, but I think that there must be a better system.
I am newly obsessed with Hulu. I was sick a few weeks ago and spent a ton of time here on this couch watching the first 2 seasons of Arrested Development, marathon style. The third season wasn't available online, so I had to buy it. Now I have to buy seasons 1 and 2 for the commentary and special features.

It's also good because I can watch clips of things from comedy shows. This all started when I followed a link to a clip from the Conan O'Brien show about his feud with the mayor of Newark. It's nice because I don't have to actually watch the show. Who has time for that? But I can go online and watch puppies dressed as kittens, and then not watch the interview with Tony Danza or whoever else the guest is.

And it is especially useful for Saturday Night Live. I had not watched SNL in years, but then Jason Sudeikis was on 30 Rock, and I decided that I needed more Jason Sudeikis. But not enough to watch the whole show. I can just watch individual sketches. Did you know that the kid from Good Burger is on SNL now? And that Seth Meyers is as dreamy as Jason Sudeikis? And speaking of 30 Rock, is it not weird that their fictional sketch comedy show only has 2 cast members?

The job that I started in June requires a lot of writing, so I haven't really been motivated to write this thing. What has happened since I last updated? Lots! I went camping, my brother got married, I saw Ben Folds play with the Boston Pops, I procrastinated about cleaning my apartment, I've made good headway growing out my bangs.

Now I have to make cupcakes.

I need a vacation. I'm going camping in 2 weeks. Then this blog will resume. See you then!

I know. I'm a terrible blog writer currently. I'm sorry.

I think there's something wrong with the old 35mm. Specifically, when I try to rewind the film, the film rips. So that's a problem. I brought it to last Friday' Guster show, and luckily I brought a backup camera, because the pictures that I took with the film camera are ruined.

Does anyone know of a good camera shop in Boston? Maybe if I can find someone with enough camera knowledge I can figure out how to fix it.

Here's a link to my Guster set on flickr. The ones from Friday didn't come out so great. I was too far back, plus I'm only 5'2, plus it wasn't my best camera.

So I've started to do for run/walks. I hate the running part, but I can tell that I am going to like it once I can do it without feeling like I'm going to die.

That's about it for now.

I finished painting my bedroom over the weekend. It's still kind of a mess so there are no pictures (yet). And then I did something brilliant. I had one piece of painter's tape to remove, but the step stool was in the other room. So I deiced to stand on my computer chair. It has wheels.

The minute I got on the chair I knew that it was a mistake. I reached up, the chair rolled out from under me, and down I went. It was kind of weird because it happened very fast, but also very slow. I kind of landed on my head, but also my elbow and knee. So there was no running this weekend. There was walking though. I gotta do something.
